Time to notarize, sign, upload, wait, and schedule an appointment that won’t occur for at least a month.
But hey, one step closer, right?

The more important question is what 997.2 are you getting?

Depends on what it is on the market.
In my dreams a 2010 C2S with the X51 PowerKit. Because 408bhp.
Reality is most likely a clean ‘09 3.6.
Not against looking at 997.1's though.

Good luck. They sent me a letter in the mail that said I had to call and add a co-applicant since the car is in myself and my father’s name and they wouldn’t let you upload mupltiple documents for each field. I tried calling them today and if you “stay on the line to speak with an agent” it says they cannot answer at this time and to call back later. Alternatively, if you try and use the “CHAT” feature on the claims portal it automatically disconnects you the second you try to connect.
TLDR - slow computer correspondence only. If you have any issues for any reason, you’ll never get to speak with anyone on how to fix it until you’re at the dealer. UGHHHH

So it’s pretty much whatever 997 you come across that is both clean and in your price range. It took me 2 months to find the M3 I eventually bought. Even when you’re willing to spend the money, it can be a pain in the ass to find the right car.

yes, but I’m leaning more towards a 997.2 C2. But the reality is that there are far more 997.1's available.

Yeah, I have no such complications. Just long wait times. I’m over the hump now though, so to speak.

If you’ve got a second vehicle to drive while you wait for the right car to come on the market, you might just want to hold out for the 997.2 C2. I almost said to hell with it and got an E92, in the end I’m glad I held out and got exactly what I wanted.

Yep, not worried about that. I have a beater truck.
And heck, the VW dealer is close enough for me to walk home after turning in the car.

I’d hold out then, I drove my 97 Explorer around while I looked.
You going to turn yours in looking like this?

Only took a week for my uploaded offer to be reviewed, appointments have to be at least 2 weeks out from that happening.

My friend sent me that and told him he should return it stripped minus the bare necessities to drive to the dealer. Asked me if I wanted anything like the badge and I was like duh, so he scraped them off and mailed them to me. He returns the car tomorrow, maybe I can convince him to do a write up on his experience.

Hold out for a 997.2, even if it means a non-S car versus a 997.1 S. The new 9A1 is both more powerful and more reliable. The updated electronics/interior are just a bonus.

Yes, I know. That’s why I’m targeting a 997.2 in the first place..

I found a fantastic one that I had to inquire about. Though I doubt it will last.
